Standard zippers--made from nylon or polyester--melt at approximately 175°C (350°F), liquefying into hot plastic that bonds to fabric and skin.

Inherently non-flammable. Does not melt or drip. Self-extinguishes immediately. (Meta-aramid tape)
Flame Retardant
Treated to be slow-burning and self-extinguishing. Suitable for enhanced safety where inherent FR is not mandated.
